DRAMEX RAW MATERIALS
Steel which owes its properties chiefly to carbon without substantial amounts of other alloying elements. Most of Dramex expanded metal is made from Commercial Steel (CS Type B) carbon steel sheets and coil, cold rolled, hot rolled pickled and oiled. Low carbon level makes this a good welding candidate. Compared to other low carbon steels, CS Type B has the highest yield strength, which means it will have a good resistance to fatigue.
Grade 304 has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of media. It resists ordinary rusting in most architectural applications. It is also resistant to most food processing environments, can be readily cleaned, and resists organic chemicals, dye stuffs and a wide variety of inorganic chemicals.
Grade 316 has virtually the same mechanical, physical and fabrication characteristics as 304 with better corrosion resistance, particularly to pitting corrosion in chloride environments.
Other alloys include type 309, 310, 317, 321, 330, 347 and 430. Made from sheets and coils
Aluminum structures can weigh anywhere from 35% to as much as 80% less than steel. Manufactured from sheet and coil, aluminum alloys are primarily 1100 H-14, 3003 H-14, 5005 H-32, 5052 H-32.
Alloy properties include better corrosion resistance, better strength at high and low temperatures and a wide range of special magnetic and electronic properties.
Most products containing nickel have long useful lives with an average lifespan of between 25 to 35 years or longer. These products can provide a low-cost solution for certain projects while preserving valuable energy resources.
Copper has high electrical conductivity, high thermal conductivity, resistance to corrosion, and is easily worked and joined. Made from sheets and coil.
Brass has good mechanical strength, resistance to corrosion, and is easily worked and joined. Made from sheets and coil.
Titanium has exceptional corrosion resistance and a high strength to weight ratio. Titanium has very good electrical conductivity. Made from sheets and coil.
Plastic sheets can be expanded to your needs.
